Top mount, spring, spring seat and its lock ring, closed damper unit, lower-mount lock ring and lower mount.
Simplified identification view. Parts and layout vary by kit. This is not a disassembly procedure.
Start with the complete assembly
The moving diagram separates common external components so their names are easier to follow. It is an identification drawing, with a simplified top mount, spring, spring seat and locking rings above a closed damper body and lower mount. Your kit may use a different layout, reuse original parts or include additional hardware.
The piston rod enters the damper body. The oil and internal valves stay inside that closed unit in this drawing. Do not use the order of the moving parts as a procedure for taking an assembly apart.
Which ring or mount do you mean?
The spring rests on its spring seat. A separate spring-seat lock ring secures the adjustment on designs that use one. A lower-mount lock ring belongs to the threaded lower-mount adjustment. Naming the ring helps, but the thread, diameter and kit version still need to match.
The top mount connects the upper end to the car. Rubber and bearing-type mounts have different hardware, and a bearing mount may have no camber adjustment. At the bottom, a fork, eye or strut bracket depends on the application. A similar-looking mount from another car is not enough evidence of fitment.
Send the markings and the corner
Include the manufacturer, kit code and serial or batch marking if present. Tell us front or rear and left or right, using the car’s normal direction of travel. If a spring is involved, copy every marking from it. Keep a clear photo of the complete assembly and a close view of the part ready.
An order reference helps us trace the supplied configuration. If you reach the parts form from your order or product page, its native kit identifiers travel with the enquiry.
Let us confirm the replacement
Use the parts enquiry to describe the component and what has happened to it. Cameron and Garreth can check the available route for that exact kit, whether that is a small external part, a replacement damper unit or a service enquiry. We confirm availability and compatibility before you order. The diagram itself makes no promise that every pictured part is sold separately.
