Sliding the bearing across an adjustable mounting plate changes the strut angle.
Some kits reuse factory mounts. A pillowball mount does not always include camber adjustment.
Read the units and the order
A spring rate describes the force needed for a given spring compression. Keep the units with the number: N/mm and kgf/mm are different. Listings often give front then rear, but use the actual labels in the specification. A higher number alone cannot predict the ride across different cars, suspension layouts and damper setups.
Check the mounts in the chosen configuration
Rubber mounts and pillowball mounts connect the damper to the car differently. A pillowball mount is not automatically a camber-adjustable mount. TEIN describes different FLEX Z mounts for different vehicles and notes that some applications reuse the original mounts. Check the included hardware on your exact kit instead of relying on a range photograph.
Changing the spring choice
Before requesting custom rates, send the kit code, exact car, tyres and intended use. We can check the available spring and damper combination. If you are replacing a spring, its rate is only part of the specification: the dimensions and fit to the assembly also matter. Keep the existing part markings or a clear photograph available for the enquiry.
