The twin-turbo Vantage arrives.
BC Racing YE-03 is the current AM6 Vantage listing, with BR RS, ER and ZX configurations. Match it to the car's build details and resolve the factory adaptive-damping connections before ordering.
A modest drop can suit a wheel upgrade without using all the suspension's working travel. Bring the wheel dimensions and intended use into the discussion, especially on a Roadster, F1 Edition or revised 2024 car.
Unveiled in November 2017 for deliveries in 2018, this Vantage paired a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with a rear-mounted eight-speed automatic transmission. Its bonded-aluminium structure followed the DB11 programme, with a solidly mounted rear subframe and an electronic rear differential. The earlier 4.3 and 4.7-litre V8 Vantage has a separate kit application.
The dog-leg manual AMR followed in 2019. Aston introduced the Roadster in 2020 with its own rear-damper tune and chassis calibrations. A shared Vantage badge leaves those specification details to check when replacing the suspension.
The 2021 F1 Edition brought revised dampers, a higher rear spring rate and 21-inch wheels. In 2024, Aston changed the body and interior extensively and introduced new adaptive-damper hardware. Identify those revisions from the build details.
For a modified car, record what has already changed underneath. A set of wheels or a front splitter is easy to recognise; earlier spring changes, damper electronics and mounting parts need a closer inspection. Keep that information with the kit enquiry.

AM6 V8: start with YE-03
BC's manufacturer table names Vantage RWD, AM6 and 2018-on for YE-03. The current listing has three selectable configurations. Check the actual car and its original adaptive-damping system before choosing among them.
Compare the listed AM6 configurations
AMR or F1 Edition: keep the specification
Include the gearbox, edition and factory suspension details. The F1 Edition has its own spring and damper changes; the broad YE-03 row does not identify every special version. Ask for the exact edition check before replacing those parts.

Roadster: confirm the open-car application
The 2020 Roadster has specific rear-damper tuning and chassis calibrations. Give the build year and body style with the enquiry, then confirm the kit application and electrical requirements for the actual car.

2024-on or previously changed?
The revised car has new adaptive-damper hardware and wider bodywork. Confirm the exact kit coverage for that revision. For a car already converted to coilovers, add photographs of the current mounts and any electrical parts fitted with them.

from the car?
Road miles, circuit weekends or a car built around the lap. Start with how you drive.
Begin with the roads and entrances you use.
Read the buying advice
BR RS is the single-way example for a primarily road-going car. Set a usable height around the roads and entrances you use. Confirm the supplied springs and mounts, and agree how the original adaptive-damping connections will be handled before fitting.
- Confirm factory damper connections
- Agree a usable running height
- Check supplied springs and mounts
Use separate compression and rebound adjustment.
Read the buying advice
The ER configuration has external reservoirs and separate compression and rebound adjustment. Discuss whether you need those controls, where the reservoirs will be mounted and who will establish the initial settings. Include the tyres and road mileage when agreeing the spring specification.
- Plan reservoir mounting and access
- Keep a record of damping changes
- Agree springs for the actual tyres
Choose three-way adjustment with a setup plan.
Read the buying advice
ZX separates low-speed compression, high-speed compression and rebound adjustment. Choose it with the fitter or builder who will establish the circuit setup. Agree the springs and working travel together with those settings. A YE-03 road-car application does not establish GT3 or GTE race-car compatibility.
- Agree the circuit and tyre requirements
- Plan access to all three adjusters
- Record height and alignment settings
Multi-link rear, with the spring around the damper.
The rear spring surrounds the damper on a standard Aston Martin Vantage AM6 (2018).
Component layout only. Mounts, dimensions and adjusters vary by kit.The original AM6 has multi-link rear suspension with coil springs over adaptive monotube dampers. Each rear spring surrounds its damper. The earlier V8 Vantage uses a double-wishbone rear arrangement, so a shared spring position does not make the kits interchangeable.
Keep the electrical side of the original adaptive dampers in the fitting plan. Confirm the required connections or additional parts for the exact car, along with the replacement kit's mounting and adjustment instructions.
Understand ride height and spring preload
Inspect the car before setting the height.
Have the fitter identify the current dampers and any earlier electrical conversion. Confirm what is supplied with the chosen configuration and how the factory system will be handled. A cancellation device should not be assumed to be included or suitable for every revision.
Check tyre clearance through steering and suspension movement using the actual wheel width, offset and spacer thickness. Leave the front lip enough room for the routes you drive, then set the alignment at the agreed running height.
Original adaptive damping
Record the factory damper specification and any existing conversion. Ask how the replacement will work with the car electrically, including any warning or control implications.
Wheel dimensions and front clearance
Include both tyre sizes, wheel widths and offsets. Spacers and a different front lip change the clearances that need checking at the intended height.
Retained joints and alignment
Have the arms, joints and mounting points inspected before fitting. Keep the final height and alignment record, especially when road and circuit tyres differ.

See the controls and hardware in the listed kit.
The AM6 kit listing currently has BR RS, ER and ZX configurations. Their adjustment systems differ, so choose with a fitting and setup plan. The listing quotes nominal 9kg/mm front and 8kg/mm rear springs; confirm the exact springs and mounts supplied with the selected configuration. Use the product for current price and availability.

Questions about Aston Martin Vantage 2018-on coilovers.
Check the details before choosing your kit.
Which coilovers are currently listed for the AM6 Vantage?
BC Racing YE-03 currently has BR RS, ER and ZX configurations. Match the exact build, body style and edition before ordering, and open the product configuration for current prices and availability.
Will the original adaptive-damper buttons control these coilovers?
Confirm the electrical requirements for the exact car and selected kit before ordering. BR, ER and ZX use their own adjustment systems. Do not assume the original adaptive controls will adjust the replacement dampers, or that a suitable cancellation device is included.
What is the difference between ER and ZX adjustment?
ER has separate compression and rebound adjustment with external reservoirs. ZX separates low-speed compression, high-speed compression and rebound. Discuss the extra controls and access with the person setting up the car; more adjusters alone do not establish a better road ride.
Is the original AM6 rear spring separate from the damper?
Aston's 2019 vehicle information sheet specifies coil springs over adaptive dampers within a multi-link rear suspension. The spring surrounds the damper. The exact replacement kit still determines the mounting parts and adjustment instructions.
Can I assume the same kit fits a Roadster, F1 Edition or 2024 car?
Give the exact version with the enquiry. Aston describes specific Roadster tuning, F1 Edition spring and damper changes, and new adaptive hardware for 2024. Those details need checking against the broad YE-03 application before an order.
What spring rates does the current YE-03 listing quote?
The listing quotes nominal 9kg/mm front and 8kg/mm rear. Confirm the supplied springs for the selected configuration and intended use. These values do not establish a bespoke circuit specification or ride comfort.
How low can I go with wider wheels?
The application row does not supply a universal clearance or lowering figure. Have the fitter check the actual tyre sizes, wheel offsets and spacers through movement, with enough travel left and clearance for the front lip on your usual roads.
Will the vehicle finder confirm a modified Vantage will fit?
The finder helps identify the car. Include the build details, edition and body style, plus photographs of previous suspension or electrical changes and the wheel dimensions, so the exact kit can be checked.
