Start with the full chassis and original market. The current kits name particular diesel applications; a CX-60 badge or registration year alone cannot choose between them.

A long bonnet and a different chassis underneath.

A restrained drop suits the CX-60's long bonnet and upright body. Keep enough room for the car to carry passengers and luggage over the roads you use. Wheel width, offset and tyre size all belong in the suspension brief, especially if the car already has spacers.

The current range includes BC Racing N-45 for the named KH3R3P AWD application and TEIN FLEX Z for specified Japanese-market KH3P and KH3R3P cars. Check those boundaries before comparing the controls and mounts. For a PHEV, another chassis code or a later factory suspension version, ask us to confirm the exact application.

Mazda announced the CX-60 in 2022, with the UK launch centred on its first plug-in hybrid. A longitudinal engine and rear-drive-based platform gave the five-seat SUV a different starting point from the CX-5. Double wishbones locate the front wheels, with a multi-link arrangement at the rear.

The Japanese launch covered four powertrain choices, including the 3.3-litre diesel and diesel hybrid. That is the market behind the KH3P and KH3R3P TEIN applications listed here. The UK PHEV's similar bodywork does not establish suspension-kit compatibility.

Mazda revised the CX-60's suspension for 2025. Its UK press pack describes changed rear springs and dampers, subframe bushes and removal of the rear anti-roll bar. Record the build date and any previous suspension updates when asking about a kit. If improving comfort is your main aim, explain which road surfaces and movements bother you before deciding how far to lower it.

For the named KH3R3P AWD application, N-45 BR RS is the current road example. Its rubber-mount designation is worth discussing when cabin noise matters. Confirm the supplied mounts and reused parts, then ask the fitter to check movement and clearance at normal load. A lower stance alone does not tell you how the car will ride.

The same N-45 example is a starting point for a discussion about occasional circuit use on the named car. Give us the tyre specification and intended event, and check that the organiser accepts the vehicle. Agree spring and damper requirements with the fitter, retain enough movement and keep an alignment record. For a Japanese-market car, match the TEIN application separately before discussing its specification.

A dedicated build needs the intended regulations, operating weight and tyre choice, along with details of changed arms and mounting points. Discuss the complete spring and damper specification with the installer, including travel, adjuster access and servicing. There is no separate competition package verified in the current CX-60 range, so bring that brief to us before committing to parts.

Component layout only. Mounts, dimensions and adjusters vary by kit.

The CX-60 has double-wishbone front suspension and a multi-link rear. At the rear, the coil spring surrounds the shock absorber. The compact drawing identifies those positions; the exact mounting parts and adjustment method come from the chosen kit's instructions.

A multi-link description concerns the arms locating the wheel and does not mean the spring must sit separately. Have the installer confirm spring seating, available movement and the correct mounting hardware for the full chassis and factory suspension version.

Understand ride height and preload

Plan the drop with the wheel package in front of you.

Write down the wheel widths and offsets, tyre sizes and any spacers. The fitter needs to check inner suspension clearance as well as the outside arch, through steering and the required movement. A parked inspection helps identify the package; it cannot establish clearance through the whole range of travel.

Explain how you normally load the car and which ramps or entrances it uses. Inspect the mounting parts and existing suspension before fitting, then agree the running height and arrange an alignment after settling. Keep those measurements with the kit instructions for future changes.

Tyres, offset and arch clearance

Include the tyre size and load rating alongside wheel width and offset. Spacers alter the clearance again. Check the complete package through steering and suspension movement, with useful room left for everyday loading.

Mounts and access to the adjusters

The listed BC package is BR RS; TEIN's exact application rows specify reinforced-rubber upper mounts front and rear. Confirm supplied and reused parts, and how the installed adjusters will be reached.

Factory suspension revisions

Record the build date and any previous Mazda suspension changes. Later springs, dampers and bushes can change the starting setup. Ask the installer to inspect what is actually fitted before choosing replacement parts.

Alignment at the agreed height

Settle on a usable running height before the final alignment. Request a measurement record and have any adjustment limits explained. Altered arms or mounting points need including in the brief.

Questions about Mazda CX‑60 KH coilovers.

Check the details before choosing your kit.

Which CX-60 does BC Racing N-45 name?

BC's maker application table names the 2022-on Mazda CX-60 AWD with chassis KH3R3P. The current product is the BR RS package. Confirm the complete chassis, engine and factory suspension version before ordering.

Which cars are listed for TEIN VSBDL-C1SS3?

The listed product is for specified Japanese-market cars: KH3P 3.3-litre XD grades in FR and 4WD form from December 2022, and KH3R3P 3.3-litre XD-HYBRID 4WD grades from September 2022. Match the exact grade and original market against the product details.

Do these diesel applications confirm PHEV fitment?

No. A similar body or model year does not confirm the suspension application. Provide the PHEV's full chassis, build date and original market so the exact kit can be checked.

Are the CX-60 rear springs separate from the dampers?

The CX-60 rear spring surrounds the shock absorber. Its multi-link suspension describes the arms locating the wheel. Follow the chosen kit's instructions for spring seats, mounts and adjustment.

Does the 2025 factory suspension update matter?

Yes. Mazda revised spring and damper settings and other suspension parts. Include the build date and any previous Mazda updates when checking compatibility, and have the installer identify the parts fitted to your car.

How much should I lower my CX-60?

Choose a height within the exact kit's instructions that leaves useful movement and clearance with your wheels and normal loads. Have the fitter check steering, suspension travel and the ramps or entrances you use. A published reference drop cannot guarantee clearance on a modified car.

Is electronic damping control included with the TEIN kit?

TEIN marks the exact application as EDFC compatible. Confirm the optional controller, motors and installation requirements separately; compatibility is not confirmation that those parts are included in the listed coilover kit.

Does the number plate finder approve the kit for my car?

The finder helps identify the vehicle. The full chassis, engine, original market and factory suspension version still need matching against the kit. Include any changed wheels, arms or mounting parts when asking about fitment.

Let’s talk suspension.

Use the finder, then add the full chassis and original market. Include the build date, any suspension updates and your wheel specification so we can discuss the exact kit and fitting work.
